How gorgeous is the packaging for the May Birchbox?! I love this marble and gold effect design, it’s so minimal yet luxurious.
Unfortunately however, I damaged my box by getting into the external protective packaging! Does anyone else do this often? I slice the packaging open with a sharp knife and manage to cut through to the actual box, right across the Birchbox logo! This is the third time I’ve done this, and must remember next month not to use a knife to get into it!
My full size product pick this month was the Marsk vanilla frosting mineral eyeshadow. It has a really delicate, subtle silvery sheen, and is great for just brightening up parts of the eye area. I do think it’s a little steep at £14 for the full size product, but I’ll happily use this for now, and I know it’ll last for ages.
This is a nice sized sample, and as I only need a little at a time, I know it’ll last me a while. It’s a nice treat for those shower days when you have a little more time to indulge in some non-routine products.
I’m really looking forward to trying this! I haven’t actually ever tried a pore cleansing kit before but I’ve seen and heard the hype! Fingers crossed that this lives up to it!
This high intensity mascara is fine, and pretty good at not leaving clumps, however I haven’t been swayed enough to leave my trusty Bobbi Brown mascara, or Benefit’s They’re Real mascara for the times that I need a little more oomph!
This body cream smells nice, and is a good size sample, although I’m not convinced on the firming properties. Again, it’s just not quite good enough to sway me from my current and all time favourite product, Palmer’s Cocoa Butter.
What did you guys think of the May Birchbox?
